Look for this seal on the products starting in March:

This is a great accomplishment — we are only the second home care product line to be certified. So what does the seal mean? The NPA began certifying home care products in February 2010. Certifications from the NPA require ingredients to be from a renewable resource founding nature, and certified products must fully disclose ingredients on the package label. The NPA and an independent third-party auditor review products and determine if they meet the organization's rigorous guidelines. The guidelines include:

• The product must be made up of at least 95 percent truly natural ingredients or ingredients that are derived from natural sources, excluding water
• No ingredients with any suspected human health risks
• No processes that significantly or adversely alter the natural ingredients
• Ingredients that come from a purposeful, natural source (flora, fauna, mineral)
• Processes that are minimal and don’t use synthetic/harsh chemicals
• Non-natural ingredients only when viable natural alternative ingredients are unavailable and only when there are absolutely no suspected potential human health risks

Few people have the time to make soup stocks from scratch, but the alternative is expensive canned broth or flavored cubes with lots of salt; mushroom sauce, cream soups and white sauces are all basic to many favorite dishes, but are time-consuming to make from scratch and are loaded with fat. Many busy cooks resort to canned products that contain more sodium. Watkins has a better solution: our convenient Soup Bases are the perfect addition to the modern pantry!

Purchase any two Soup and Gravy Bases at regular price, get one Chicken Soup and Gravy Base for $4.99
